Peer-to-Peer Fundraising

Help expand our reach.

Paws for Hope works hard to make sure that your donations make a direct impact on animals in need. But you can also help animals by fundraising on our behalf.

You are our biggest supporters and now it is even easier to create your own online peer-to-peer fundraisers, or collect donations from friends and family members, or raising funds for Paws for Hope at events.

We believe in the things you believe in and you want to be a part of the change Paws for Hope is creating.

One of the best ways you can show your support is to engage your network of friends and family through fundraising on our behalf.

Fundraising Goal: $50,000

In 2020, at the beginning of the pandemic, Paws for Hope received incredible financial support from both the community and government. But now, three years later, those revenue streams are drying up and we are experiencing funding shortfalls that are significantly affecting our ability to serve families and their pets in need.

At the same time, more people than ever are also facing social pressures and financial struggles and are requring more support.

  • The economy and inflation means more and more people struggle to meet their daily needs
  • The lack of affordable, pet friendly housing has created a housing crisis for people with pets
  • The ongoing opioid crisis has left increasing numbers of people with pets wanting to go in to treatment but without a safe place for their pets to stay
  • There has also been a significant increase in the number of women with pets wanting to leave an abusive situation (but won’t do so if they cannot leave with their pets)
  • More and more low-income families are needing support with veterinary care

At Paws for Hope we are in the middle of a perfect storm—a big decrease in funding and a huge increase in service demand. That’s why we are making peer-to-peer fundraising even easier. Use the links and tools on this page and help us raise $50,000 to provide veterinary care for pets whose people are in crisis and/or living in low income families.

We need your help to raise funds to continue providing veterinary care the pets of people in crisis support animals living in low income families.

“Three years into a pandemic, we are experiencing funding shortfalls that are significantly impacting our ability to serve families and their pets in need. It is a perfect storm—a decrease in funding but a significant increase in demand. We need your support.”

Help pets like Hannah

Hannah’s story is a great example of how Paws for Hope’s two programs can work together to support both people and their pets. Hannah and her mom are enrolled in our veterinary care program Better Together where Hannah receives ongoing veterinary care for Cushings Disease. When Hannah’s mom experienced a personal crisis, she needed a safe place for Hannah to stay while she got the help she needed to get back on her feet. We were able to bring Hannah into our crisis foster care program No Pet Left Behind until they were able to be reunited.
